Performance evaluation of a PVT system using Phase Change Material for thermal energy storage
August 26, 2024
Our latest research, featured in Energy and Built Environment, explores the use of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles in paraffin wax to enhance photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) systems. With a 41.56% boost in thermal conductivity and a 31.46% improvement in electrical efficiency, our prediction model—developed using response surface methodology (RSM)—optimizes performance. This study marks a significant step forward in sustainable energy solutions!
Innovative Solar Energy Research Featured in PV Magazine
August 23, 2024
Our latest research, featured in PV Magazine, introduces a heliostat field-integrated PVT solar collector using phase change materials (PCMs) enhanced with carbon black additives. With 20 heliostats and a central tower, the system achieved a thermal efficiency of 46.56% and a peak electrical output of 17.77 W at a 0.0045 kg/s water flow rate. The study highlights the potential of PCM-carbon black composites to improve solar energy efficiency and sustainability. Full details are available in Energy Reports.
